The store in Springfield is the first and largest Bass Pro in the nation. With a four-story waterfall, huge aquariums, an art gallery and other fun things to see and do, it’s an entertaining adventure as well as a place to find the right gifts to wrap in tinsel and gold.
The hobbyists, metal workers and carpenters on your list will be easy to please with a stop at Grizzly Industrial. The second-largest machinery showroom in the world, this huge store is the place to get tools, saws, metalworking machines, etc. While there, enjoy the live demonstrations, woodworking samples and a display of more than 10,000 tools.
The cowgirls and cowboys on your list will be dreaming of gifts from PFI Town, which includes PFI Western Store, Saddle City and Diamond Ridge Market. At PFI Western Store, a huge selection of more than 15,000 pairs of boots, western clothing and accessories will please the fashionistas. Saddle City has hundreds of saddles and all the tack horse-lovers need. While you’re there, drop in at Diamond Ridge Market to sample cheese and wine.

- Candy House has all kinds of treats: fudge, brittles, English toffee, caramel pecan treats, caramel nut corn and a lot more, including an extensive line of Jelly Belly’s and kid’s candy.
- Cosmic Fish is the place to go for colorful hair dye, bead curtains, Nag Champa Incense, Sheesha, cool clothes and purses, posters, and body jewelry.
- If you know someone who is into quilting, check out Merrily We Quilt Along and Quilt Sampler.
- Rusty Moose Lodge Décor is the place to look for home décor with a lodge or western theme. Furniture, rugs, taxidermy and much more can be found in the 6,200-square-foot show room.
- Winetyles Wine & Gifts is a must-stop shop for the wine lovers on your list. The shop offers gifts, baskets, cheese, chocolates, private tasting events and even a wine club. Hint: try to be there between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday for the weekly wine-tasting event!
